Dr. Tara Zand brings nearly two decades of experience, skill, and compassion to her role as a general dentist at Optimal Dental Center. A 2006 graduate of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland—the first dental school in the world—Dr. Zand has built her career on providing comprehensive, patient-focused care grounded in both science and artistry.

Throughout her career, Dr. Zand has been recognized as a Top Dentist throughout the Northern Virginia area and appears as a Dental Expert on the TOP Doctors Medical Interviews which can be seen on CNN, FOX News, Bravo and MSNBC. Dr Zand continues to pursue advanced training in the latest dental technologies and techniques. For over eight years, Dr. Zand successfully owned and operated her own dental practice before choosing to sell it in order to spend more time with her children. She now enjoys working as an associate, where she continues to dedicate herself to creating positive, comfortable experiences for her patients.
